Privacy Policy
Last updated August 24, 2026
The Forensic Scroll ("we," "us") is operated from Ontario, Canada. This page explains what information we collect from visitors and subscribers, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Email address, if you sign up for the newsletter or a tool on this site.
- Aggregate, non-identifying traffic data — page views and referrers — via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track individuals across sites.
- Payment information, if you ever make a gift or take out a membership — handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe, PayPal, or a listed alternative). We do not receive or store your card details ourselves.
What we don't collect
We don't run tracking cookies, ad pixels, or cross-site trackers. We don't buy, sell, or rent subscriber lists to anyone.
How we use it
- Email addresses are used to send Dispatches you've subscribed to, and — for actual transactions — receipts and account notices.
- Traffic data is used in aggregate to see what content is actually reaching people; it isn't tied back to you individually.
Who we share it with
We use third-party services to operate this site — our email platform, our transactional-mail sender, our payment processor(s), and Cloudflare for hosting and analytics. Each only receives the data it needs to do its specific job, under its own privacy terms.
Your rights
- Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.
- You can ask what data we hold on you, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
